Life Continues after Death.
Statement by “The Portuguese”
Continuity is the Key Word.
It seems difficult to talk about life, furthermore when we ask why it exists and what its reasons are.
What is the reason for living since we are all going to die?
I haven’t asked to be born, furthermore when my life is suffering within a disabled body.
Why weren’t I born handsome and wealthy, and therefore more loved and happy?
There are many questions related to that issue of life. We could write quite a few pages, and all of them would be begging for the deep and intimate question within our own Self: “Why do I exist and what is the reason for the existence?”
Sometimes, the answers seem mysterious and hidden and we bring religion to try to explain them. The subject with religion becomes vague and not understandable.
I state again, religion is on an upper level, and our researches are a grade below.
That is the reason for which we should not do it. Let’s go slowly analyzing sentence after sentence, keeping our balance and evaluating the most justifiable responses for each question.
At the beginning, we can be very practical, logical and scientific. Let’s analyze what the mankind is, coldly, as if we were in a large laboratory out of this planet and our element man would be the lab animal for the scientific experiments which we will carry out.
Our lab animal, or you yourself dear reader, would be a 20-year-old healthy man living a normal life.
So, let’s go, first we will put all his data in an equal basis scientifically speaking. Example: how much does he weigh?
If our lab animal weighs 70 kilograms, what does that body mass consists of and where did it come from?
That is a logical question, has it come up from nowhere or has it been developing up to reaching such 70 kg?
Let’s prepare a chart with all the composition of our 20-year-old 70-kg lab animal man.
When he was born, that is, when he came up, he practically did not have any weight, he was a fusion of a sperm cell and an ovum, was formed within his mother’s womb, and absorbed nutrients until reaching about 3.5 kg, just like a parasite. Sorry for the expression parasite, but I am speaking from a scientific point of view, with no emotions, in reality he is a baby.
Considering that he has been drinking an average glass of milk per day along his life, in twenty years it is 365.25 x 20 = 7,305 days or milk glasses. Milk has left some nutrients in his body and the rest was eliminated through feces, urine, sweating and tears, therefore, we can say that 1 kg out of his 70 kg is formed by milk residues converted into body mass.
Can you see the coldness in the evaluation of the person we are about? That is it, let’s have a table with that kind of reasoning, always remembering, “This is not a lie” – We do not have the precision of the ingested and expelled amounts, we only want to be conscious of what we are made of, after all.

4,600 kg Feces, hair, nail. Total mass remaining in the body = 60 kg body mass.
Total final weight = 70 kg.
First evaluation of the lab animal man: if he is totally constituted by elements available on the planet Earth – He is an extension of the Earth, or like the Indians say (Chief Seattle, tribe Duwamish - 1855) “We are children of the Earth”.
Bones, hair, skin, organs, muscles, flesh, nail, teeth, etc. are all made from earth elements such as calcium, iron, magnesium, water, etc.
Therefore, the body of the 70-kg man is all made of the ingested elements along his twenty years – Right, if he stops eating, he would stop growing and eventually die, therefore he should continue eating the provided by his planet Earth. He is really a child of Mother Earth.
At his beginning, when he was a baby, he had no acquired intelligence, he was born open to learning, but did not know anything. Totally ignorant, no knowledge at all.
Now, let’s have another table.
175,320 life hours with:
58,440 rest hours (sleeping, napping, meditating, etc.).
20,000 learning hours (elementary, secondary, college, etc.). 1,000 pain hours (teeth, head, bones, ears, throat, scares, etc.).
1,200 pleasure hours (parties, appraisals, games, toys, caress, etc.).
500 love hours (orgasm with loved ones, more kisses, caresses, etc.)
500 sad hours (offenses, poor school grades, contempt, punishments, etc.).
There are many emotions experienced along twenty years of life, adventures, frights, scares, etc.
Many facts are not even mentioned, such as a robbery, or even himself stealing an apple, stepping an ant, gecko, bee, or else.
The acquired emotions along twenty years make up a great life experience.
But, what is that great experience for if we are all going to die and erase all?
The sentence above indicates that a continuation is required. What is all about learning if, at the end, everything will go off like a light bulb that is burned out?
What is life for, if we are all going to die and not come back anymore? Acquiring experiences, what for? For nothing at all!
Well, if there is some reason life itself is the great reason.
Caution: let’s not approach religious subjects. We are almost saying that life continues after death, somewhere, kind of paradise, or something alike, for instance, resurrection for the eternal life and end. The act is finished, curtains close, no return, without other lives.
We should not step that path. Logic shows that life has a great reason and there should be a continuation, but we don’t know what it is, let’s go slowly. We should not let our logic jump into abstract thoughts, with no evidences. What we are searching for is a logic reason for continuity and it has not come up as yet.
In addition, I have not yet presented a reason for life to continue. Let’s go through other reasoning.
Let’s go a little deeper in that 20-year-old lab animal and see what he is in fact.
Removal of the five senses
Now, let’s start evaluating his senses and how he recognizes things and objects that are around him.
We are going to remove one sense at a time and question the absence that it is felt.
We should have a name for you, Mr. Lab Animal (reader), 20 years old and weighing 70 kg, in order to have a better view of the occurrences from here on. Then, your nickname will be No Sensor in backwards, “Rosneson”. And me, the analyzer Magician, I will be Health in backwards, “Htlaeh”.
Let’s create a short history.
Htlaeh – Imagine, Rosneson, the power we have. We can temporarily remove your sense of sight – We are from another world and have the power to examine humans and that is why we are here, in that special Lab.
Please, lie down calmly in that bed. We, around you, will proceed with our magic.
Cancellation of Sight
Htlaeh – First of all, we will cancel your sight – Ready, Rosneson, form now on you are blind. Keep lying down there for a week, thinking of life. Our lab mates will provide your food and necessary resources for your survival. After seven days – Well, Rosneson, explain to us what it is to be deprived of sight, that is, to be blind.
Rosneson – My dear Htlaeh, I feel everything except seeing. I hear noises, sounds, I feel warmth, coldness, bad smell, perfume, sweet and salty. But everything is in a total darkness. Living in the dark is no good at all.
Htlaeh – Very well, Rosneson, now, next, let’s remove other senses. Do you suggest any sense for us to remove now?
Rosneson – Mr. Htlaeh, if I choose to lose my hearing, how can we possibly communicate if I cannot hear your words?
Htlaeh – Keep calm, here in this special lab, we have the power to talk to you mentally as if we were all magicians. And you know, this is a story, only an example.
Cancellation of Hearing
Very well, now we canceled your hearing, Rosneson. Besides blind, now you are deaf.
Keep like this for some time, then we will be back to talk about your condition. After some time - Well, Rosneson, explain to us what it is to be blind and deaf, both at a time.
Rosneson – Mr. Htlaeh, to stay in the dark is not good, now together with the total silence it is terrible, I can’t see, and can’t hear either, I totally depend on you. I need your help to walk, I don’t hear anything, I can’t communicate, and to be blind and deaf at the same time is a total isolation and dependence.
Htlaeh – And now, Rosneson, what is the next sense to remove? Any suggestion?
Rosneson – Mr. Htlaeh, after that total darkness and silence, who cares, any other remaining one would not change my dependence too much.
Cancellation of Smell
Htlaeh – You’re right – Now, Rosneson, besides blind and deaf, you cannot smell perfumes or stinks.
Keep like that for awhile and then we will talk again.
After some time - Well, Rosneson, explain to us what is to be blind, deaf and without smell.
Rosneson - Dear Htlaeh, the only senses left are the Taste, to feel sweet and salty, and I can also feel warmth and the contact to my skin, and the feeling of food on my tongue, I still have the Touch.
That protection of not eating rotten food due to smell I don’t have anymore. If they give me something stinky I will not know about it.
Rosneson – I continue in the darkness and silence, when will you return my senses?
Htlaeh – Keep calm, Rosneson, for those cancellations are tentative. Now we are going to remove your sense of Taste.
Cancellation of Taste
There you are, Rosneson, you, besides blind and deaf, cannot feel smell and taste. You will be like this for some time and then we are going to talk.
After some time - Well, Rosneson, explain to us what it is to be blind, deaf, and without smell and taste.
Rosneson – Mr. Htlaeh, it is not easy to have only Touch, to only feel warmth and contact on my skin, tongue and hair.
I feel people touching me, but I don’t know who. I am fading away from this world. How are you feeding me?
Htlaeh – Well, giving liquid substances directly into your vein, Rosneson, you are like an accident victim, in coma, totally dependent on somebody else.
Cancellation of Touch
Just to end, Rosneson, from now on you will not have any of the five senses that you used to have. Remember? They were Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste and Touch. You will be some time in that condition and then we will talk about it.
After some time - Well, Rosneson, explain to us about those days without any of your senses.
Rosneson – Too good that you are back to communicate with me, Htlaeh, I was in a total emptiness, did not feel anything, I don’t even know if I am lying or standing. It is a total silence together with darkness, I do not notice people, and there are no perfumes, flavors, colors, music.
Everything has gone, too good you are back here, take me out from all of this.
The Great Question
Htlaeh – Calm down, Rosneson, remember that you are our 20-year-old 70-kg lab animal. Now it is time for us to ask you the great question.
Can you still remember the things you used to feel in the past, before we totally turned you off? Therefore, you still have the memory, you recall good and bad things, you recorded all the adventures you had, regardless of happy or painful.
You have a history within your Self.
Rosneson - Please, take me out of this, this is the end, exactly for he who lived, I want to go back, with all the pains that might exist, there is still the paradise for me.
I want to feel everything again, regardless of good or bad, I want to feel life just like I used to do. I want to live with all my senses, healthy as they used to be. Take me back soon, this is the chaos, everything has gone, life is totally isolated.
Htlaeh – And now the great question: “Isn’t dying just like that”?
Rosneson – I don’t know anything about that, if it is, it will be horrible, I want to be back to paradise, to life, take me out of here as soon as possible, I can’t bear it any longer. I want to feel.
Keep calm, Rosneson, returning all your senses, yes! Well, how did you like your experience?
No way, I did not like it at all, it is terrible to lack all senses. And if dying is just like that, I definitely don’t want to die!
Htlaeh – Rosneson, let me calm you down. I simply removed your five senses and asked if dying would be like that. And you were all scared!
Of course, dying is not like that and I can explain you why. Provided you read this up to the end.
When you had no senses, you could still think – You were a being but did not exist!
You didn’t exist because I removed your sensors and then you stopped existing.
Then, we conclude that there is symmetry between being and existing.
Placing the Symmetry
On the one hand, being. On the other hand, existing.
One of them says: I am a “being, but I don’t exist”. It is just like you felt, isn’t it, Rosneson? Therefore, in the time of total emptiness, in your desperation to feel life again, without knowing you emitted the energy of I want to exist.
You were a being but did not exist. You could not prove yourself, you were only memories, and you wanted to be back to life! Such wanting to be back to life is the emitter of the energy “I want to exist”.
Try to imagine the opposite to that symmetry. On the other side, you say I exist, but I do not have a reason to exist, I want to be an individual with the sense of being, “I want to be”.
Dear Rosneson, you could not notice it. We in the laboratory, in the moment of your desperation, could notice that your internal organs, together with all living cells inside of you, emitted an energy opposite to yours, I exist without a reason for that, they emitted the energy “I want to be”.
And you, within the gray mass of your brain, emitted the energy “I want to exist”.
This is a totally symmetric duality.
Now, this moment, I can perfectly assert with reason the hypothesis that, if you were out of your brain, the two energies would break apart. You would die. That’s right!
Your body would not feel existence anymore and the once organized cells within your body, where everything used to be controlled by yourself, would start fighting for domain, a cannibal fight that would decompose your 70-kg body.
Rosneson, that matter acquired along your twenty years, your body, we all know where it will go to after its decomposition, it is logical and rational that it will go back to where it came from, it will turn back into iron, calcium, sulfur, etc. It will be back to Earth, to what it was formed from.
And you, Rosneson, with that energy of “I want to exist”, I will ask you, where will it go to? Remember, there is symmetry within logic, we could not waste that moment of reasoning about the Great symmetry breaking it by saying that you have gone, that you do not exist anymore, that when separated from brain you are dead.
Yes, you Rosneson have died, the symmetry of energies was broken apart. The energies “I want to be” and “I want to exist” are separate, each one to a side, but none of them will be annihilated now – If we assume that one of the energies has evaporated, vanished, reason and symmetry will break.
The atoms, the crystals, the particles, in spite of not having their own reasoning, emit energies like I want to be a being, I want to be a part of a more complex living being, especially those which have had the opportunity to live in more complex bodies. They vibrated in a more complex organization and kept in memory the differentiated pulses.
And you, Rosneson, you go to the abstract, the other side of the symmetry, the immaterial, in search of your affective emitting the energy of “I want to exist” because you continue to be a being. Right or wrong? That is the great question.
The great evidence that life continues is that you died, lost your identity as Rosneson, however much of you, much more experienced, searches for such energy of “I want to exist” in a new place, waiting for a sperm cell to fuse to an ovum and start a new life, without the interference of the previous one, without recalling Rosneson. It will start in a new Great pulse, a new life. I propose a new name for that new life: “Lanoitar”, backwards for Rational.
When in search for a sexual conception, it is there where life will return. For sure, its attraction with the energy of “I want to exist” will search for an ovum and a sperm cell equivalent to the energy emitted in the same greatness as experienced in previous lives.
It will not be back in complex bodies which are inferior to the previous one, for instance of animals: dog, cat, ox, etc. They have been one of the steps in the past.
It would be the same as to say that a battery prepared for 110 Volts cannot support 100,000 Volts. Therefore, in the moment of conception, it will return in the right organ, in the human, with conditions to evolve a little further the Genetics and DNA compatible with its energy of “I want to exist”.
That is my proposal. I cannot see anything on the other side, but I know that life continues for that reason, as I presented when I used geometry, logic, reason and analogy.
Life continues. The key word is “continuity”. Everything is cyclical.
In the physics of Newton, nothing is lost, everything is a matter of action and reaction. And we know that he had a mystical portion.
Well, those who look far away to other galaxies, even with their scientific knowledge, feel that other forms of life might exist.
Maybe even similar to ours, but one would not believe that his own life would continue.
They believe in the pair of immaterial particles called Bit, next to the black holes, which become matter when one converges to the interior and the other to the exterior, but they would not believe that they themselves have already lived other lives.
“I think, therefore I am”. This is a pure thought when two energies are united, one feeling and the other existing.

By coincidence, in this right moment, my hometown Sao Paulo receives the visit of the Pope Benedict 16. I say coincidence because the subject here is the reason for living, “life”. I should mention once again that we are not using religions. It was a coincidence and, making use of this, I locate in time the days of this demonstration. Right of author.
Continuing the research.
At the beginning of this chapter, I placed the following sentence:
Continuity is the Key Word.
It is with that sentence that we will prove, over and over, that life continues.
Together with the sentence I drew a circle with a sine wave and a point in the angle alpha “α”.
The point in the angle alpha “α” shows the instant it is in the cycle path. For instance, right in the beginning, or almost to the end, or just in the middle, the point is the object traveling along the cycle.
The circle and the sine wave in geometry show everything that is cyclical, for example:
The water in a pond when not disturbed has a plain level, calm and totally flat.
When we throw a rock at the pond, a wave is formed in the water with its crest in the upper part and the trough in the lower, and it expands losing amplitude. It is also a cycle.
With a few more details we will understand the cycle. The rock, when piercing the water, meets a plain and flat level. The rock itself pushes the water with an identical volume sideways and goes deeper. The size of the rock is the same volume of water which has to be dislocated. Such a volume, in the beginning, forms the crest of the wave, the rest of the sine wave is the trough, the lower part, which consequently becomes visible when the rock enters completely.
The wave in the pond is a cycle. Its reason is the rock.
Sound entering our ears is also a cycle. The blow up of a balloon, the “Boom”, is energy vibrating the air up to our eardrums.
Pushing and returning the thin skin of our ears is a cycle.
The heartbeat is also a cycle, relaxing and contracting.
